ZwitterCo, a leader in advanced membrane technologies for water treatment, on Tuesday that Myron Van Ert has joined the company as its first Chief Commercial Officer. Van Ert brings nearly three decades of experience in the water industry, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Global Key Accounts at Veolia, the world’s largest water treatment company.
Van Ert will oversee the implementation of ZwitterCo’s growth strategies in North America and around the world, driving partnerships and the commercial adoption of the company’s breakthrough zwitterionic membrane technology.
ZwitterCo Co-Founder and CEO Alex Rappaport said in a comment that they are happy to welcome Myron to the company s team and as their first chief commercial officer.

Van Ert’s appointment comes on the heels of ZwitterCo’s successful $58.4 million Series B funding round, which was led by Evok Innovations and included participation from DCVC, BHP, Munich Re Ventures, Siteground, HG Ventures, and Blue Horizon Advisors. The funding is being used to accelerate the deployment of ZwitterCo’s membrane as the company grows internationally and expands its technology platform, the company said.

With more than 25 years of experience in product management and commercial leadership within the life sciences industry, Sean brings a wealth of expertise to ZwitterCo with years of success building strong product management and commercial teams within high-technology companies.
According to ZwitterCo, Sean will be responsible for setting the trajectory of innovative wastewater treatment solutions, expanding ZwitterCo’s award-winning fouling-immune technology to the next level, and exploring new filtration opportunities in areas such as digestate, meat and poultry, ethanol, and more.
